Keep The Candle Alight
And if the wind blows out the candle
The candle of life
What road is there to take?
A highway to nowhere, or maybe to Hell
Where dreams become nightmares
And memories songs are listed amongst
The annuals of time that with -
Hopelessness and regret remain...
It takes a second smile, and
A second heartbeat to break this spell
Especially with you alone
Touching a love we can both foretell
Re-light the candle of darkness
Let the shadows be yours
Dancing with happiness and love
But never forget how easy
It is for a brief wind
To extinguish what the candle brings
So keep it alight, keep it burning bright!
