 Chill
Gelid,
The sea breeze.

Malign,
This shivery morn.

Cold air,
A hideous monster,

Slithering
in empty places,
Lurking
in lonely drives,
They snake downhill.

Sopping,
The sidewalks,
As I walk
between decaying abodes.

Still,
I will catch the sun,
Rising.

To shine.
And beam cordial warmth,
I shall need store.

When I am trembling
am shivering,
Along the ocean's
desolate shore.
