 A Common Thread
Photobucket

Time concedes what once was need
To fight a war, that some perceived
Win less, worthless just like today
Old news, in Nam where life was layed

The uniform that once shed blood
Worn by young men, jungles would flood
Of stars and stripes. some left behind
Remains of those, we could not find

The M I A became the least of thimgs
Like casualties their files would fling
Into cabinets, closed till this day
By government so blind to yesterdays

Yet still these boys now aged with time
Would bleed again for on their minds
Are GOD and country, freedom for us
That's us the U S they served with trust

Come home all will with war struck hearts
From battles fought, some missing parts
Exposed to pure bureaucracy
Ignored so filled by lunacy

A common thread, now spent who gave
Freedom for all and us they saved

Dedicated to those who served and are
serving a country that has yet to serve them
