…Jane Seeks…We chatted on the phone tonight, And had a laugh as we do! I wouldn't mind, we've not been mates long, But I reckon it's for a lifetime through! Stuck with her for a lifetime? Oh blimey, that won't do! I think I'll have to sack her off! I'll have to get my brainwaves coming through! And think up a reason to sack her off! Now what an earth could I use? Maybe I could say I'm emigrating, Now that's some kind of a ruse! Then again, I think she's funny, And we certainly do have a laugh! That's me and me mate; Jane is her name! And this mad poet named Cath! So she seeks him here, seeks him there, Looks around every flippin' bend! Why is that you ask yourself? Cos she's looking for a bloomin' boyfriend!! So she had a date the other night! But she said the spark wasn't there, I think she left it behind, at home! And anyway, she doesn't really care! Cos that shelf's been there a long time, And I guess if she doesn't use it soon, The dust will be as thick as fog! And the room will be doom and gloom! So come back shelf, all is forgiven! Oh woe is she and her poor bashed heart! But hey ho Jane, just you wait! Cos one day your life will really start! And then goodness help the fella! Who lands at your door, so-to-speak! Cos he will be forever locked… In that ruddy room where solace you seek! I can see it now you know… You as Rapunzel, with your long mane! But hey ho, wait a sec; hang on a mo! Rapunzel don't look at all like you Jane! So I guess we'll have to sack that off, And think we'll have to think it out again! Hmmm, what about a dating agency? On second thoughts, you'd have to be insane!! So I guess suffice to say jane, That shelf looks really inviting! So that will have to do you for a while, Until one day, you're struck by lightening!! When the man of your dreams appears, Just like that, out of the blue! Your bottle will go, you'll be ill as ill! Cos you wont know what the hell to do!! But I guess it will all fall into place, When you meet that man out there, Who's going to be in your life one day… But meanwhile, the shelf's over there!!! Sit nice!
