Everytime I think I've got into a quiet place
Into that room comes someone to share my space
It's usually someone I love and I don't want to hurt feelings you see
Sometimes I just want it to be God,and Christ and me
In this ole world I feel I need a word from God above
I thank God for Jesus that shows us pure love
I thank God for my Son and my whole family too
I thank Him for all my blessings and keeping me true
I need God's word and to take a stand for Jesus now
God's word is the final authority that shows us how
My feet are planted on solid ground you see
Thanks to Jesus that gave His life at Calvary
I thank God for the valleys making me a real man
The Lord is my strength I can make it I know I can
Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you
I read the bible daily I know His words are true
The joy of His presence there's nothing to compare
The devil tries to trip me but he best beware
God is on my side satan can not defeat
God's word is on the tables of my heart satan can't deceit
I know where the devil is going I'm going the other way
The devil is going down because my God don't play
The devil still tries to send lies into my head
But I'm standing on the word of God everything He said
I'm taking a stand for my Jesus I won't take a seat
He suffered so much on the cross had nails go in His hands and feet
It's only light afflictions of what we have to go through
What a friend we have in Jesus He's so very true
I'm not ashamed to tell anyone Jesus loves you
How could anyone be ashamed of Him His friendship is so true
Now I must leave this quiet room God gave me
To tell others how Jesus can set them free
