When Roses Weep

I enter into your garden
At the twilight of the day

Just as the last of
Today's rays of sunshine
On the beauty of your roses lay

A white rose I place today
To honor the man who was my friend

As shadows begin to gather
The night dove's song begins

To the serenity of your garden
I will come to visit you again

Peace be unto you
Dear Uncle Frank

A fellow poet
.... And a friend

Lesa
aka
Aspiring Angel

Author's Comment:

Uncle Frank was a much loved
Poet and a friend to many
Within my former poetry home

He was a World War One Veteran
And a POW in the Korean War

He lost his fight to Cancer
At the age of Eighty Four

When we lost one of our own
Within Starlite
We placed in memory a white rose
Within what we called the
Memorial Gardens

A place to pay our respects
For the hearts we held as friends
And were no longer with us

....A place to leave our love

February 2010

Roses again weep for one of their own
as white roses are being placed in
Mary Anne Ray's garden.

But there is more to Mary Anne's story.
She was also a Mind's Eye member.

She was such a gentle soul, and her work was
so lovely. I wish with all my heart that she
would have had the opportunity, to get to know
everyone here.

A blessing would have always been yours
each time you visited and closed her door.

I was ecstatic when I say her as a member here.
She became very ill just after joining us,
and could not be active.

If you would like to pay your respect for
someone you did not have the privilege to
meet and know,

Mary Anne Ray

can be found at this Mind's Eye Link.

Mary Anne always brought a special glow to my heart,
as she did for anyone who passed her way
on her life's journey.

She will continue to be loved and missed,
by all that knew her, including myself.

A friendship lives forever, as does their
touch of poet's pen.
