Second Chance~~~For Gary and Sheryl
I recently attended a
Beautiful Wedding,
a second chance,
for a loving couple
that fate and distance
had parted~~~~
Their grown children
made up the wedding party,
they remembered, with love,
the passing of her parents,
and his father~~~
and their scripture
was I Corinthians: 13.
Second Chance
God has given us a second chance,
A chance to build ‘our own truth',
To rekindle our romance,
From the embers of our youth.
With our children standing by our side,
We pledge our undying love,
Safe in our hearts, they shall abide,
These precious gifts from God, above.
A loyal family we shall become
As these simple vows we speak,
Remembering loved ones who've gone before,
Whose guidance and counsel we seek.
When shared: Joy is doubled;
Sorrows are half as hard to bear.
This second chance our heart's welcome
As we kneel together in prayer.
God has given us a second chance
He will walk, daily, by our side,
As we build a home of love and joy
With our Savior as our Guide.
For Gary and Sheryl
