Heavy Heart
I have a heavy heart
tears fill my eyes,
words from a song are in my head
all I can do is cry.
It's four o'clock in the morning
I lay here wide awake,
can't seem to close my eyes
hoping for comfort, I wait.
It's been eleven months
since you've passed away,
I still miss you so much Dad
can't keep my sadness at bay.
I still can't believe
you are now gone,
you'll be in my heart always
with each passing dawn.
