Prayerful Plea
I call upon the Lord,
Who is loved and adored;
To make haste unto me,
As I convey my plea.
Give an ear as I say,
The request that I pray;
For leaving in your hands,
Waiting for your commands.
Set a watch on my lip,
So no word makes me trip;
Nor evil in my heart,
Causes me to depart.
Let me not eat their lust,
That would destroy my trust;
Keep me righteous each day,
So not to go astray.
Let my soul not see death,
After I take my last breath;
But an eternal place,
Having mercy and grace.
