It's Along Way To Heaven From Here
I can't hear her voice any longer
Can't see the face I adored
How do I get up each morning
Please tell me this my Lord
How do I smile when my heart breaks
How do I go on like before
How do I stop always listening
For her footsteps to come through the door
Why wasn't I there please tell me
The evening she took her last breath
I could have held her at least said goodbye
Before she succumbed to death
She was alone and that's how I feel
At her grave in this cold field of stone
Standing here now tears falling like rain
Knowing she's finally moved on
I'll see you again on Gods beautiful shore
I love you and I'll persevere
I pray Lord give her this message
For it's a long way to Heaven from here
