If I Could
Tears will fall again today
The pain suffered won't go away
It seems unfair, unjust this loss
Of those now gone, heartbreak the cost
If I could ease your pain today
With words written, here's what I'd say
Your love for them keeps them alive
Inside your heart empty that cries
No one can tell or help explain
Why they depart but you sustain
The loneliness that pounds your soul
Rekindles life your arms would hold
Yet warmth is what is sought to heal
The gaping wound that's left that reels
The past again that stole your joy
Absence present with you now toys
Keep still and feel that GOD does hear
Each cry for help, each falling tear
For plans he has for you dear friends
Where life begins that has no end
