This poem I write doubles as a wish
For the most joyful birthday for my Papa Ish
You see we only met months ago
But the bond we have has truly grown
Only in a pic do I get to see
This kind man who's heart adopted me
I do get to talk with him on the phone
His voice is so kind as his words flow
He gives me encouragement and joy
As he now calls me his Liny Girl
It's odd I didn't realize at times
How there was a void in my life
But now I have my Papa Ish
And I pray God fill his birthday wish
But he is a simple man sent from above
His wish is probably for more family to love
For he has all that he could want or need
For My Mama Dori is his very heartbeat
He had eye surgery and now he can read
The words of Jesus to sow as seeds
Deep into the heart of a precious man
That gives love and kindness to all he can
Some may wonder how I know all of this
Calls and conversations reveals who he is
He loves the Lord and my Mama Dori too
He loves all his children as good Dad's do
His life is full from blessings above
But the greatest is unconditional love
So in the poem I send a birthday wish
As well as bragging on my Papa Ish
Yes he is my Papa that I love alot
For when it comes to Papa's he is tops
