Spiritual Rebellion
Since the days of your father,
You have been turning away;
Driving further and farther,
From Commandments to obey.
You have been making some laws,
And contradicting His rules;
Causing you much deeper flaws,
Making you look like some fools.
What made matters even worse,
You merely outright reject;
And having brought on a curse,
What God has said you neglect.
God could treat us like a toy,
Causing famine on the land;
Let fire and insects destroy,
Pestilence from His hand.
But God gives another shot,
And calling you to come back;
While able to be taught,
Everything that you lack.
