Good Days & Bad Days

Everybody has them although some will deny, those days you want to laugh and those days you want to cry
Those days when you are up high above the clouds, everything goes good, and you are so proud
You feel you must have done something right, because everywhere you go you are followed by light
It’s all gravy, everything is cool, and you seem to be successful in everything that you do
Then there are those days where from the very start; you can tell that things are falling apart
You know in this day you won’t get ahead, and if you could you would just go back to bed
But there are things to do, bills to be paid, money to be spent, and money to be made
But it won’t be as easy as it was yesterday, because everything seems to be going the wrong way
Car won’t start, yesterday it ran fine, can this be real? Are you losing your mind?
Now you are running late so you have to rush, but you are stuck in traffic behind a slow moving bus
Then you switch lanes but it doesn’t help much, now you in the lane with the broken down truck
So you exit to the street where the traffic is light, but the signals are all red, this can’t be right
Now at this point all you can do, is relax and breathe deep, you must see the day through
Good days and bad days run hand and hand, they seem to be the fate of every woman and man
But one thing I remember when I have a day I can’t call, it’s better to have a bad day than no day at all
So I count my good days when I’m having a bad day and look forward to a better day like the one yesterday
