 Religious Experience or The Cross

Each religion teaches its own way
Misleading many people everyday
Religion starts with beliefs of one man
With rules to follow as a guided plan

But there is no sense of final security
Relating to their soul for all eternity
When a person takes their last breath
What happens next to them after death?

Faith based only by experience is ritual
How do you ever know what is factual?
Faith based only in Jesus is a relationship
Knowing Him personally, in daily fellowship

Christianity is not a religion and is reliable
But man has twisted meaning of the Bible
Religion is man trying to find God's plan
Christianity is about Jesus coming to man

The Bible is still the absolute truth today
Beginning to end, it shows only one way
Come to know who Jesus is in its pages
You will see His plan throughout the ages

It is not about trying to live a good life
Or doing your best to be free from strife
Not even by going to a particular church
Or promoting peace because it means much

Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth
To bring mankind redemption and new birth
Not born twice physically, but only spiritually
So how does knowing Jesus become a reality?

It is by faith in what Jesus did on the cross
When He died and rose again to save the lost
By placing your trust in Him alone as Savior
Your eternity in heaven is guaranteed forever

Have you made that decision to accept His sacrifice?
If not, do it today, knowing for you He paid the price
You will never earn that kind of unconditional love
Reach out and claim God's free gift to you from above

Titus 3:5a (NIV)
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done,
but because of his mercy.

Romans 10:10, 14 (NIV)
10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
