On a hot afternoon
with an unwashed body
unshaven face
and running legs through
the maze
the echoes of a dry voice
lose meaning
in the chaos
what and whose
the face to nose
the mouth not so firm
and dentition comical not stern
Eyes brown not blue
could be cosmetic
so what to do

a siesta after lunch
in awkward drama
