 Elsie`s Poetry

Sitting high upon the harbour wall
The rain suddenly began to fall,
It must have known how my heart did cry
And so it sent tears from the sky.

The waves came crashing on to the shore
As my pain poured out of every pore,
I couldn`t hear you calling out to me
No whisper on the breeze from the sea.

The wind usually calls out my name
And I know just from where it came,
Were you not missing me at that time?
All I heard was the harbour bell chime.

I felt lost and lonely sitting there
All I did was to sit and stare,
Tears for company were all I had
So when it began to rain I was glad.
