I`ll Always Care
To my son Clint on his 37th birthday. Love you always Mum xxx
I don`t see you very much
Not much chance to stay in touch
Now and then you`ll lift the phone
Chatter to me far from home
It`s so good to know you`re well
And my son the truth to tell
I love to hear your life is good
All that`s in it as it should.
Now your birthdays here again
Thirty-seven years since when
I gave birth to you my boy
A bouncing, healthy, living toy
Then time passed, too soon a man
Part of Gods eternal plan
You became all you could be
Memories, you left with me
Your first step on every rung
In my mind I`ve always clung
To each milestone as you grew
Now I send my love to you
Across the surfing waves of time
Happy birthday, son of mine
A hug, a kiss, fly through the air
To prove to you I`ll always care
