Rhymes of the Heart
Special Plan/By Danielle (Rogers) Earls
This written by my oldest daughter
Special Plan
On this July 27th
God had a special plan
His voice you heard so clearly
He spoke the words come take My hand
Why did you have to leave?
When I still needed you
Now my world is empty
And filled with shades of blue
You never got the chance
To open up your eyes
Or to say to your family
Your last and final goodbye
I know if you could've talked
This is what you'd say
Don't cry for me anymore
Aunt Dessie's going to be ok
I stood there at your grave
With my husband at my side
When they put your casket down
A part of me had died
I know you're in a better place
With your smile back on your face
There's no more pain no more sorrow
You lived everyday like no tomorrow
In the arms of your husband
The love of your life
He's waited a very long time
To meet his loving wife
I love you and I miss you
Is what I want to say?
And when we meet again
It will be a blessed day
