Little girl so filled with pain
Harboring many fears
Trapped inside a nightmare
Wracked by endless tears
Guilt weighs heavy on your heart
But life you can't control
Death is just a part of life

Little girl so filled with love
Momma hears your heartfelt cries
Shake off this awful nightmare
Please open up your eyes
The day she left she waved goodbye
Perhaps she knew it was the end
That one day soon she'd close her eyes
And to Heaven she'd ascend
You weren't there at the end
And that's tearing you apart
You see her there all alone
That's what breaks your heart
I think that's how she wanted it
So you couldn't ask her stay
She chose a quick departure
For you my child that day
She knew how much you loved her
I feel she knew that you were there
She heard your voice and felt your touch
I believe she was aware
You gave her many happy years
Sweetheart she loved you so
You did your best to care for her
It was just her time to go
Accept now what you can't change
She wouldn't want your tears
She'd want the laughter that you brought
To her these past few years
Hold her deep within your heart
That love is there for you
Did she know how much you loved her
