My Elvis Turned Thirty Today
Elvis and His Baby Boy
Today my baby turned thirty years old
I'm both sad and happy for him though
It's another milestone in his life to unfold
But I myself wish time wouldn't have flown
Over the years your path has really been hard
But with years comes wisdom in praying to God
You speak often of your Father in heaven
Through all life's ups and downs never being forsaken
My beautiful boy my heart rejoices knowing this
No matter where you are, there is your Lord Jesus
For many years now I have pleaded the blood
Praying and sending prayers to the throne room above
The times we've shared together in the word
Is the most precious time we spent since your birth
You know the power of words spoken out
In time you'll reap many blessings no doubt
One thing I must repeat each passing year
That my love for you only grows more dear
For a part of my heart you will always be
One of God's greatest gifts given to me
I also have hope that someday you will step into
The reality and my vision of the calling God has for you
For the passion you have when talking about God
Is not given to all except those the chosen and called
There's nothing that makes my heart smile more
Than the words of God being read by my boy
I know you are saying I'm not a boy but a man
I know but in my heart my baby you'll remain
For no matter the years that may fly by
I feel every hurt,sorrow and pain in your life
The same as when I was caring for your every need
I'm here now standing in the gap for prayer to intercede
God bless you My Youngest son of four
You'll always and forever be my joy!!
