Petals In The Grass

Lonesome Bridge

Right over the hill
Down below the ridge
There's something hauntingly seductive
About a lonesome bridge

So much weight
Has crossed her fundation
Always there to support
Since the beginning of her creation

The arch
The supension
Such a brilliant
Invention

The truss
The beams
Some hovering
Above streams

The waters underneath
Perfect for the midge
There's something hauntingly seductive
About a lonesome bridge
