Justly Purged
Throw away the old bread,
That has become so stale;
Use the new dough instead,
To bake in such detail.
We need it for the feast,
Which is yet to arrive;
As enmities are ceased,
And evil ends it drive.
Thoughts and acts become true,
As to the Holy Word;
In revealing to you,
Everything you heard.
But those with desires,
Filled with earthly lust;
Shall only see fires,
For in God they distrust.
Only sin in this life,
So they must be purged;
To have eternal strife,
In being justly scourged.
