One Flower Under A L.A. Freeway

Can't Look Back

Bobby* taught us not to look back
where our parents fenced us in wood and steel
Until we can escape from that home into our own place of a freedom we must someday pay

Our lives become an eviction
an order to leave your identity when the door slams

Shangri-La was a movie
Toto never barked in Kansas

Your ass is behind you and Bobby* was a good teacher

For your city you will live
For your city you will die
Te quiero cuidad de Los Angeles

*Bobby refers to Bob Dylan
