Gettin' Married In Hawaii
Young homeless couple in Hollywood
Wantin' to get married in Hawaii
Were his lovin' words
Was her life's dream
They slept on concrete sheets along the side of a building
Were his ways
Was her desire to be at his side
I gave her a would-be wedding dress
Watched him hit her in the face
Were his intensions to hurt her
Was her mistake to let him
I know that in the hearts of new born baby girls there births the opportunity to believe
Let no man take this away from us.
Wantin' to get married in Hawaii
Were his lovin' words
Was her life's dream
They slept on concrete sheets along the side of a building
Were his ways
Was her desire to be at his side
I gave her a would-be wedding dress
Watched him hit her in the face
Were his intensions to hurt her
Was her mistake to let him
I know that in the hearts of new born baby girls there births the opportunity to believe
Let no man take this away from us.
