Putting His Spirit in Charge
God is our strength and refuge,
When troubles raining a deluge;
His Holy Spirit intervenes,
For helping us through our means.
His Spirit comes to our aid,
To comfort when we are afraid;
And bears us up when we are weak,
For consoling that we may seek.
He helps us with a feeble heart,
In giving us a brand new start;
And with His will along the way,
Guiding us so we do not stray.
We are never able to pray,
Onto the Lord the proper way;
But His Spirit makes it known,
Our desires to His throne.
We do not have power to say,
Just the right words while we pray;
But His Spirit easily finds,
By searching our hearts and minds.
