strummin days

He showed electric talent when he played that wild guitar
his stance was full of power and his strumming took him far
he was a country yokel though his chords were hot and mean
he played to vast new audiences wherever he did go gals did scream

the band were hard and rocking undisciplined and mean
they conquered all the local gigs and folks said they had far to go
their father was a teacher taught them diction too
then they stormed the pubs and youth club gigs they were a rocking show n cool

the gals all flocked to see them and hear those melodies
some lads adored their chords and riffs till they went off to sea
they lived a quiet life of sombre means far from the seedy crews
they sailed upon the QE11 and then settled down in poole
