The Morning Glory
Rise and shine for the light has come,
There is no need for feeling glum;
The glory of God is upon you,
That will help for to see you through.
Arise and let your face be bright,
As a new day brings morning light;
As the glory is shining down,
To make a smile from a frown.
For the earth had a darkened veil,
Throughout the night it did prevail;
But the Lord has chased it away,
For bringing you a brand new day.
Lift up your eyes and open wide,
Letting the Lord to be your guide;
For seeing what the new day shows,
As His blessings that He bestows.
The insight to see bright with joy,
The hopes and dreams for to employ;
As your heart shakes with such delight,
Having a future look so bright.
