I remember a little town out of many
That once was in a valley-
And it got flooded long ago
So it moved higher out of that alley-
They at least listened to then
The warnings nature gave-
And they have never regretted it
They have the good life all did crave-
Has any of late ever wondered why
Nature of late is acting so-
Why at times it is so often angry
Is there something it wishes us to know_
We keep on ignoring it's many warnings
But still we stay right put and build again-
Getting all set up more of natures warnings
And ever so much of same-
So many places endless feet below sea level
And still we seem to think next time-
It will show us way more mercy
And leave us high and dry and fine-
Nature it is telling us earth is changing
And to move way higher still-
Cities , towns and any place
One day with water it will and could fill-
There is an endless message out there
That so many choose to carry on and ignore-
And when it finally does occur
We'll blame nature as always before-
A dog knows when having sat on a cactus
The first time is to move away-
It does not come back and sit on it again
As it knows what happens with that play-
There are beautiful places right here now
That one day simply will not exist at all-
And with any human so called common sense
Surely we can hear and listen to natures call-
One does not need to be in power in life
Or have a fine list of degrees-
To figure out what nature it is saying
It's written on every wind and breeze-
Time to move much higher and build again
The ants in trees know how it goes-
But us ever all knowing humans wait
Till the final whistle blows-
