Fallen Short
Why do you say that I am good?
No one is the way that they should;
Not one of you but only God,
Can claim to be not as a fraud.
You know what He says for your life,
Do not be untrue to your wife;
But other girls bring impure thought,
Then there is lust your heart has sought.
Honor your father and mother,
Do not murder any other;
And never cheat nor even steal,
Nor to lie filled with lusty zeal.
Only the Father and the Son,
Never have engaged nor have done;
But still you pursue and persist,
The greed and the lust to exist.
As you think more about your wealth,
And forget your spiritual health;
Since all have fallen short of His Glory,
For lustful exploratory.
