I take one day at a time
for I may not be granted tomorrow
this it is not mine to keep
a life that finds us in perils of sorrow.
I continue my journey not looking to the past
for I can't change what has already gone
knowing my future of Heaven I rest on faith
and the cross in which Jesus atoned.
Here these days are uncertain and numbered
the devil dwells as they are here to stay
but when storms arise I rely of My Best Friend
who is a whispered prayer away.
So I am looking forward to His Return
this life will seem but just a moment
when we see Jesus then there
we will find true peace and atonement.
