'Within Your Soul' Here I sit and gaze at you
I sigh at what I see,
I know you cannot comprehend
The things you do to me.
And I cannot inform you
For the words I cannot find,
Yet my eyes see what is really there
Within your soul you truly bare.
It smiles at me through bashful eyes,
Their beauty far beyond
The bluest skies, the deepest sea,
I fall in awe upon my knees.
My hands reach out to you with faith
That yours will reach for mine,
And trust in time with truest grace
Our fingers shall entwine.
So here I sit, as tears flow free
And feel my heart beat fast with glee,
To know my love is yours alone,
Within your soul I've found my home.

~ Our soul is who we are. It allows us to feel--to truly 'be'.
When it is touched by one who shares it, the feeling is
like no other. I have had this pleasure, which in turn
became the inspiration for this poem. ~
