 If  You  Could  Go  Back
When  there's  more  yesterdays  than
Tomorrows, few  fond  memories  to
Recall, if  looking  back  leaves
You  feeling  saddened, and  you've
Wandered  time  and  again, would
You  do  it  all  differently, if
You  could  go  back  to  then?

The  same  old  temptations, you  thought
You'd  over  come, so  long  ago, would
Be  as  tantalizing, as  they  ever  were
Before, would  you  have  the  will
This  time, to  say  no, and  close  that
Door?

The  same  fear  and  self  doubt  that
Cost  you  so  many  of  your  dreams,
Would  seep  back  into  your  mind  again
Could  you  have  enough  confidence, to
Over  come  them  all  this  time?

Going  back, fixing  all  the  mistakes
Made  along  life's  path, is  a  wonderful
Thought  to  me, but  reality  only
Allows  this  to  happen, in  the  midst
Of  lovely  dreams.
