Poetry For Everyday People

Somehow

I have traveled,
to, and from,
in words,
solved mysteries,
created worlds,
got back
at pain,

I have poured wine
for perfect strangers
a million miles away,
built a nest
for broken winged souls
with dancing hearts,

there are people
so alone in this world
when you touch them
they cry,

I have made love
to the moon

pretending
it was
on top
of me,
soft,

and I swore
to myself
I'd find
love.
