These long cold winter nights
When I yearn for your touch
Missing your green eyes so bright
My darling I miss you so much
Remembering your face so sweet
Your laugh so tantalizing
Now knowing that again we can never meet
My thoughts of you are only fantasizing
Of what was and could have been
Gone now from my wanting grasp
Hope that this old heart will mend
Sometimes praying my next breathe to be my last
Alone afraid forlorn am I
Lost in old dreams of past
Telling myself that you will be back is a lie
Year's now apart time moved so fast
Still my heart belongs only to you
Living day after day in pain
Wondering if of me you think about too
Watching these tear fall as cold rain
When will this all end
I knew not a man could love so much
Is this love for you my great sin
Oh just again to feel your last touch
When you held me so near
Then gone like a cool breeze
Leaving me sadden sick with fear
A loss so hard I fell to my knees
Never to stand tall again
Humbled by a love not returned
The haunting dreams of what had been
My world destroyed and burned
Deaths arms a welcome sight
Dark Angel swing your scythe
That I await each night
Still my pained heart and forever close my eyes
