 He touched my heart

The Welder

His eyes flash as bright as an arc,
His laughter will echo around any room,
His stories won't run out until well after dark,
Spinning campfire yarns under the stars and moon.

Fish tales that wriggle and enthral,
Scouting adventures at camp sites remote,
Love sickness driving him many a mile,
Adventures driving outback to Kickatinalong.

A tradesman of the finest kind,
Square means dead square,
Straight has absolutely no bow,
Success through the power of the mind.

Though sickness and injury has left him short changed,
He spreads joy and laughter wherever he goes,
The helper of anyone found in need,
His passion for people is truly without bound.

We spent many an hour hours planning,
Great camper trailers built are our legacy,
They have stood the test of wild wind and weather,
Thanks mate, we are indebted to you.
