Being black is what I know how to be best
being black makes me happy I must confess.
I'm a black, intelligent, beautiful phenomenon woman
I'm unashamed of my beautiful black African pride complexion
It completes my mesmerize brown eyes, my breath taking smile..
it gives my luscious lips the strength and the courage to speak
nothing but good things into my life. my black skin has captivated my heart
and imprison my soul. for I never want to be free of my black skin,
for it holds the strength and bravery of my ancestors whom lived in a time of slavery.
for they are the very ones which paved the road to help my black skin shine positively and grow.
when I look in the mirror I see a beautiful African Queen..and my mind
and heart automatic charge itself up to become anything I desire...when it comes
to succeeding in life my heart catch a spark and become completely on fire.
my black skin is a blessing, a painted artistic gift from the
Father above....when he painted day he also paint night
and he just happen to paint it black...the color of admiration
the color where the trillion of stars set upon and gaze in awe
where the ocean seas river and lakes are just over-whelmed
for having the color black as their default.
God created this beautiful black skin that I'm in and I wouldn't
change it for nothing in this wicked world... for I'm a diamond,
a gem, a ruby, a priceless pearl..
when the world darkness present itself before me I keep on walking
through..cause my black skin is blacker, bolder,
and its stands still for nothing but the truth.
I don't let darkness hinder my black skin from chasing after the light
cause when I make it there I'm still going to be black
