I See A Woman Grown ღ KKD ღ.
I Now See A Woman Grown
Twas just but
a moment of time ago
You rested safe in my arms
oh how was I to then know
Time stands never still
not even for a parent's heart
That wishes for all to remain
as it was at the very start
Time is the biggest thief
a parent faces
For they travel oh so fast
down roads with no retraces
Looking back is but a blurr
of hurried rushing time
Pausing briefly on moments
held in this heart of mine
The age of innocence
The time of carefree
The secrets held
between you and me
The giggles ... The squeels
The hugs ... The kisses
These are the memories
every parent misses
I stand and look at the present
with the memories of past
You my beautiful daughter
what awesome shadows you cast
My beauiful winged dove
my nest you have flown
Oh too soon for this heart
I now see a woman grown.
