They that are in Christ
It is not up to us to judge,
Since we are sinners with a grudge;
And are feeble to sin and death,
Every time we take a breath.
But with the Law of the Spirit,
That through Jesus we inherit;
A brand new life has been given,
To us by God up in Heaven.
This flesh that is an outer shell,
Is evil and belongs in Hell;
So long it traps the inner soul,
Satan will remain in control.
For the flesh controls our mind,
The lust and the greed make us blind;
To the insight that helps us see,
That Jesus Christ has set us free.
Those of the flesh won't take pleasure,
In partaking of the treasure;
On that day when Christ will return,
To open eyes of what you earn.
