Being Me
Keep your chin up
Just be strong
Things will get better
but its been so long
I greet each day
as something new to be tasted
but with each sunset viewed
I feel so lost and wasted.
I have never been more aware
of the void place on which I stand
One of the most difficult
is having an empty hand
With no earthly being
to which I can cling
No one to hear
the love song I sing
Just as tonight meaningless words
upon a page of white
stained with heart tears
and no one to hold me tight
My precious Savior on bended knee
I beg that You Please help me cope
If this is all there is
Then from this heart take the hope
The lonely hours
How I yearn to flee
This empty life I live
It's just too hard being me
