My Words Are An Inspiration? Really?Well I am shocked, can't find the words, To convey the feelings inside me, For every time I look around, There is feedback for me to see! It seems that my words bring comfort, And in the written word I am told, But all that I write, is how I feel inside, Its not like I'm a veteran of old. For the religious words that fall, From my simple brain onto the page, Seem to be, for wants of a better word, Suddenly, and surprisingly, all the rage! Oh I've had many, many compliments, My work seems to ‘hit the spot'! But how and why is beyond me, I guess I just don't know what I've got? So my journey of life has changed me, As the paths I walked have been tough, But all I tell, is the truth of it all, It is only God that got through the rough! My faith has always been strong, And the words I write are all true! But more so, it seems they hit the mark, And they have lifted and carried many through… Though the trials of life are hard, And mostly for me, real tough, I guess I am really thankful, That I am here, regardless the rough! Because my life has had many a trial, And the rough, has been worse than I guessed, But as I say, and as I truly believe, Everything's just another test! A test of Faith, not of strength, For we all have strength in us true! You just have to dig deep to find it, But trust me, it will come shining through! The path of life I travel, in Faith, Has always been firm and strong, But the one that I followed, Catholicism, I'm afraid, for me, was wrong! I have fought against the urge… To walk away from this church, After all, it's been all my life… Was I to be left in the lurch? I think it was only a matter of time, That I walked away into the light! For many a year, oh many a year, I have known that church wasn't right! And I did it, finally this year! I walked out of the darkness into that light! And now I have peace in the knowledge! That what I have done is more than right!! And for lots of people to tell me, That my words are an inspiration, I guess I never looked at my Faith like that, I never thought of the thoughts of the nation! So I figure I did it right after all! And if my words and Faith help you, Then I have once again, worked for God, And let His words shine through! *********************************** For it is only for the grace of God… That I have these words to show! He blessed me with the gift of words, And the ability to use them well… I hope I will always use them well! God Bless you all! May your Faith come from within you!
