 The Stork

Photobucket

Harmless, soft, gentle and kind
White feathery; caring mind
Busy taking care of their own
Until young fledglings are more grown.

No gossip, for they have no call-
Active walkers with legs quite tall
As listeners they do hear well
Though what they've heard,
They'll never tell.

Gracefully they take to the air
When winter starts its cold affair
Far they glide to warmer places
Looking for new nesting spaces.

The stork is found within God's Word
Truth proclaimed on this splendid bird.
Placed among us that we may see
Blessed wings of humility.

~~~
 The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars
Of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
 Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork,
The fir trees are her house.
Psalm 104:16-17
