Eternity Envisioned

Photobucket
I sat on the outer edge
Of eternity last night.
It was like a circle
Of a pure, perpetual light.
Photobucket
I watched time disintegrate
Before my very eyes.
The months, the years, the hours...
Shattered like so many sighs.
Photobucket
It was like a veil had lifted
And I could spiritually foresee
The vastness of a endless span
God calls eternity.
Photobucket
It stretched out so sublimely
Unlimited...undefined.
A dimension beyond my finite
And fragile human mind.
Photobucket
Gazing into the great forever,
I desired to journey on.
For in the far off distance
Shone the spendor of God's Throne.
Photobucket
Every color was transparent!
Every space was so alive!
Eternity was the only place
Where death could not survive.
Photobucket
But, wait! Was that a Voice I heard?
The sound was so intense!
It soared into my spirit
And filled my every sense!
Photobucket
"You cannot enter now, my child,
But see what lies in store?
Here in this circle I've created
Life will last forever more."
Photobucket
Suddenly a magnetic force
Brought me backwards into time!
Back in the world, I wondered,
Had I been shown a sign?
Photobucket
Was eternity approaching?
Was the Lord soon to return?
Was time reduced to moments?
What would God have had me learn?
Photobucket
Had I departed in a dream?
Or reached into reality?
God only knows...but this I know
He let me touch eternity.

 Lovingly Presented,

"For we fix our eyes not on what
is seen, but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but
what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:18

"So just as sin reigned in death,
so also grace might reign through
righteousness to bring eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:21

"The man who loves his life will
lose it, while the man who hates
his life in this world will keep
it for eternal life."
