Grandpa, we all worry about you
right now, you are very sick,
just got home from the hospital
your life is being drained, so quick.
Mom doesn't think you'll make it
until the twenty second of June,
when you celebrate your 61st anniversary
hope you're not leaving us too soon.
I haven't seen you in a while
I've missed you, oh, so much,
praying to God, you'll get better
you've taught me how to make cookies and such.
I know you are sick grandpa
you're eighty-two years young,
I remember of times long ago
talking to you, 'neath the summer sun.
Nanny is worried as well, you know
being stubborn, is what you shouldn't do,
how do you think she would feel
living the rest of her days, without you?

I just found out this morning, that my grandfather has been very sick. I have always had a special bond with him, since I was a little girl. It's probably because his birthday is two weeks after mine. Ever since my grandmother had a heart attack two and a half years ago, he's been having them and he hasn't been telling anybody about it. He can't stand doctors or hospitals. Seems to me, he's lost his will to live. I hope I'm wrong. I would be lost without him. :'o(
