You forgot what day it was
until you asked for the date,
I was waiting for you to remember
I'm supposed to be your soul mate.
I know you have a hard time remembering things
after your stroke a few years ago back,
but, you should at least remember this day
to tell you honestly, it's a fact.
I don't hate you and never will
you forgot our anniversary, so what,
maybe next year, you will remember
and not give me the excuse, "Oh, I forgot."
