Marigolds
Around my cactus plant
I spread marigold seeds,
I noticed the sprout yesterday
hasn't even been a week.
Seeds were still in the package
good thing I didn't throw them out,
because inside the garbage bag
they would have started to sprout.
A lot of them are in the garden
I'll let Mother Nature do her best,
to help them bloom 'neath the sun
and I'll help do the rest.
