She Misses You

Mom, your granddaughter
cried on my shoulder last night,
she misses you deeply
send her your shining light.

I've been trying my best
to give her all of the comfort I can,
her tears of sadness fall
when I take her by the hand.

I hope you don't mind, Mom
I gave her pictures of you,
don't want her to forget the good times
even if, she is feeling blue.

She keeps asking me
why you had to leave so soon,
I can't understand it myself
trying to comfort each other, 'neath the moon.
