The elephant and the ass have been taken
I thought of a squirrel but most independents are nuts

I am a veteran and totally back our troops
After high school I joined the National Guard
I was a teletype and phone operator
My job was eliminated by cellular phones
I gathered up all my wires and joined the Air Force
Mom wanted me to be a Doctor so I was a bedpan jockey
The Navy has the best Medical school so there I trained
Navy medics are Marine medics so was my drill instructor
I have been in the brig once but not by the enemy
Although I never liked the Commanding Officer I punched
While being in the Army, Air force, Navy and Marines
I partied a lot in the military but was never in the Coast Guard
I think my party affiliation will be a duck and coast guard
