As we're nearing the completion
Of the winter of our years,
We're reminiscing and recalling
Every season we hold dear.
Life has really been a journey
Since the moment I met you.
Love has never been more precious,
More enduring, or more true.
Although age has painted pictures
Of many seasons on your face,
The sweetesr season of them all
Still sets my heart to race.
You are all I've ever wanted.
You're everything I ever will.
When we have reached eternity
You will find I love you still.
Only once in every lifetime
Can a heart experience this.
Even as the winter closes in
You still warm me with a kiss.
You can take me back to springtime
Or to summer with one touch.
I will never cease to fall for you
Because I love you, oh, so much.
You're my knight in shining armor...
My companion...my best friend.
You are God's greatest gift to me.
My devotion knows no end.
When we've finished every season
Of our journey on this sod.
Then love will lift us up to Heaven
For our greatest love is God.
