The Working Horse
Many things in life I so admire Some more than others true of course- But one that I've always loved Is non other than the working horse- Such power but yet so gentle in being Such character and ability- So loyal to all who loves them So very high in respectability- So giving and so hard working As if sometimes it knows no giving in- I always had a thing for the working horse Back not long after the day that I begin- When I was only just a lad I'd watch them doing all they'd do- Working in perfect harmony and rhythm Horse and master too- Always loved the working horse Since back I don't knows when- Love to go back and see them all That I'd seen over time ag'en- Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2008 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
